Open Thursday - Sunday 11am-5pm, with special activation Saturday at 4pm.
The Mother Plant is an interactive art exhibit and installation celebrating phytoremediation and the potentials for regenerative land stewardship and renewable resource management that collaborating with the Cannabis plant can afford humanity. This installation is an exploded presentation of The Mother Plant art book, which is the culmination of almost 10 years of research, writing, and artmaking. The show includes over 40 artworks and 40 short creative writing pieces that synthesize the research that went into each art piece. The Mother Plant touches on Cannabis's contributions to humanity's relationship with Nature throughout time, from food and medicine to ritual and inspiration, bio fuel and plastics to concrete and lumber alternatives, etc. Some of the paintings are on hemp canvas or hemp paper, some are painted with hempseed oil.
