Invoking fragments of a shared dream, strange daughters butoh presents ferment/filament, an experimental dance piece erasing the boundary between performer and audience. Ferment/filament will take place for 3 hours, with 3 audience members viewing at a time for a for a short dance, rendering it a personal experience.

Jenni Cockrell/strange daughters butoh has regularly performed in the Asheville Fringe Arts Festival and the Re{Happening}, and has won multiple Fringe awards for her performances. She received an M.A. in Dance and Women's Studies from UNCG, where her thesis investigating women in butoh won a Sally Schindel Cone Award for Excellence. Jenni explores and deconstructs the quirkiness and rawness of life through butoh, investigating archetype and imagery so that vulnerability and humor shine through, permitting multifaceted interpretations from the viewer.
