Clouds
A child decides to become a painter; like carving a face from a stone, carving a life from the time we are given is difficult, challenging, and rewarding. Pigment on canvas can be redone over and over again, but the seconds spent do not return. In this multi-media solo performance piece you explore the distance from inspiration to creation and find out if you can get there from here. By the final brush stroke the journey across that seemingly infinite distance brings you to the door that everyone must open. What dreams may come must give us pause.
Well Behaved Women Rarely Make Art
Dance, poetry, and audience interaction fuse to confront challenges women face yesterday, today, and in the march ahead. Through dark humor and heart, Erin Braasch, Anna Kimmell, Kelly Duncan, and Kathy Leiner challenge the stories women inherit—exploring identity, pressure, rebellion, and the courage it takes to be fully seen.
